TBH, it is hard to say any is better at this point. However, if I go back to time I derived any enjoyment from it, I'd say manga was better. Simply because Naruto anime fillers were crappy and the additions they made to canon scenes were even more so. *cough*HinataVsPain*cough*

Some anime I enjoy better based on how it's done. I think Shingeki no Kyojin is much more enjoyable in the anime because it goes from grating art to fantastic animation and they seem to really execute it like here:
I usually prefer watching an anime over reading manga, but some are just...like the Toriko anime in the best arc. They butchered it so badly and the manga did it just so well.

I think Part 1 filler was bad, but not as bad as Part 2 filler. I shudder at some of the crap they have recently written.

Personally, I would say that anime often tends to drag the plot to the point of nausea. Mostly through fillers, but also extending the fights for no reason (coughDragonBallcough). Although I did enjoyed some anime immensely, like Slayers, which had some fillers, but it was all in the spirit of series so a person didn't cared. And some anime that do not have any fillers can increase pleasure thanks to awesome animation, like aforementioned Shingeki no Kyojin.
