Last Moment: RP Topic

Erona and Seto are now sitting down in the kitchen, having some tea.

Seto: Do you understand our mission?
Erona: Yes. Just make sure the cargo gets here safely. We'll be in constant radio contact anyway.
Seto: Right. We'll each take one side. It shouldn't require more than just us.
Erona: I agree. A cargo assault wouldn't require a lot of enemies...unless Elena is the one attacking. She would prepare for our defense.
Seto: I have intel that she's away on a business trip.
Erona: You what? Your intel reaches that far in besides Zeik?
Seto: Don't underestimate me, Erona. You take me for a fool, but that isn't exactly accurate.
Erona: I give you all the credit you deserve. Your alchemic knowledge is impressive, and your resourcefulness is equally as impressive. But your level of intellect does not reach my own.
Seto: I see. Well anyway, with your sister out of town, we shouldn't have any problems.
Erona: Yes. We probably won't see any tactical geniuses behind an attack. Still, best to stay prepared.
Seto: For what, exactly?
Erona: Have you already forgotten? That building that was lit on fire...it wasn't an accident that caused it.

Reina: Somebody overheard you and called in the government. We need to leave now.

As Reina says that, a few government agents wait at each gate.

Malik walks out of his office and up to Maria.

Malik: Can I talk to you real quick?
Maria: Sure.

Malik and Maria head back to his office. They both sit down on a couch.

Malik: So Sunday Sarah and I are flying to Japan, we will be gone for a week or 2.
Maria: Make sure that she is safe.
Malik: I will. We are using her band as a cover up and I'm grabbing one last computer chip while we are there.
Maria: What did you want me for?
Malik: I didn't tell Seto yet but I am going to trust you to take over my role in the MDC. I have a list of potential missions E-Mailed to you, you can do your work from your laptop.
Maria: Why me over one of the older members?
Malik: I have been teaching you for a reason. I cannot be here 24/7. Seto....even though we are good friends, we have different strengths and weaknesses. They compliment each other so Seto won't be able to do some of the work that I do and vice-versa.

Sarah: So Katy, do you want to play some checkers?

The graveyard being on flat ground allowed Reina and Sandra view of the exits.

Sandra: Looks like they are already here. We should act now before more arrive, I'm confident I can disarm the agents at whichever exit we go for, you can handle clearing a path right?

Katy: Sure.

She sits down as Sarah puts away the chess game and grabs the checkers one.

Katy: I have to say, you and Maria play one hell of a chess game. How long have you two been playing?

Reina: This way.

Reina starts to lead Sandra towards the back of the graveyard, away from the exits. She knows exactly where she is going.

Sarah: A few years. However I am nowhere near as good as Malik or even Seto.

Sarah lets Katy make the first move.

Maria: I see.
Malik: You are very smart, you will be able to handle this.

Maria gets a determined look on her face.

Maria: Got it. I won't let you down.

Sandra follows Reina, it appears she had another plan.

Sandra: Is there some kind of hidden exit you know of?

Katy takes the first move as a save move by moving a red chip chip on the right up one block to the right, putting it out of harms way of being jumped.

Katy: I'd hate to try to keep up with either of them then. I couldn't keep track of you two.

Erona and Seto have finished their tea and go into the room where the ladies are playing checkers.

Seto: Checkers, huh? I'm more of a chess person, myself.
Erona: Same.
Seto: We have a set you know. You want to play a round?
Erona: Only if you're willing to lose.
Seto: When preparing to win, you must also prepare to lose.
Erona: Fine. I warned you.

Seto picks the chess set and they set it up. Seto is white and Erona is black. Seto makes the first move.

Reina and Sandra eventually reach what appears to be a dead end at a large hill.

Reina: We can get out here.

Sarah moves a checker in front of Katy's, with it able to be jumped.

Sarah: Your move.

----

Malik: I'm going to tell Seto and the others of your temporary position when Reina and Sandra return. You are free to go now.
Maria: Got it. Thanks for letting me know.

Maria leaves Malik's office and heads over to Seto, Erona, Katy, and Sarah. Maria chooses to watch the chess match, and takes note of optimal moves in her head.

A few more moves in and the middle is starting to get plugged up. We see Erona casually scan the board and move. Seto stops to think about what Erona is doing.

Seto: Going for that strategy, huh?
Erona: I don't know what you mean. I play to win, that's my strategy.

A few more moves in and Seto gains a piece advantage. But that is suddenly overturned with a check, forcing his king to move and Erona takes his Rook with his Queen.

Sandra: Where?

Sandra didn't see any obvious exit but then again didn't expect to as there shouldn't be exits up this way.

Katy made the jump, having being forced to if you obey the rules of the game. This caused her chip to land near Sarah's, forcing her a jump. Each is now down one. Using the opening she made by moving the first chip up, Katy moves one of her chips from the second row up into the first.

Katy: We're both down one.

Sarah: Yeah.

Sarah moves her chip that jumped Katy's into the spot that Katy's first move was at, preventing it from being jumped.

Reina starts to feel in the tall grass near the hill.

Reina: It is around here somewhere....

Reina feels a rock in the ground. She lifts one end and uses her power to keep it upright. Right down the hole is a wooden platform, with a rope ladder leading to a tunnel.

Sandra: You guys have a lot of passage ways don't you.

They start to hear the agents moving up behind them.

Sandra: We should go.

Katy moved up another chip from the last row to the second.

The chess games moves quickly, and Erona begins decimating Seto's forces after just one mistake from Seto.

Seto: Wow. How are you...?
Erona: You can't afford to make even a single mistake against me. You should know that.

A few moves later and Erona has him in Checkmate.

Reina silently motions for Sandra to go down the hole first, and she does so. Reina jumps down and slowly places the rock back in place using her power.

Reina: This way.

Reina climbs down the ladder and waits for Sandra at the bottom, where she grabs a flashlight.

Sarah moves a checker into the spot on the other side of the board where it cannot be jumped (basically the same as Katy's first move).

----

Maria: You set yourself up to lose. Back when you gained the piece advantage, you forgot to protect your King.

Seto: I know. He wanted me to gain the piece advantage so that he would have the situational one.
Erona: Figured it out too late there, boss. So, is it go time?
Seto: Yes, I believe it is.
Erona: Let's take care of business then.
Seto: See you guys soon. We'll be back.

Maria: Wait, go talk to Malik first. He has something he wanted to say to everybody but he can tell the others when Reina and Sandra get back.

Seto: Alright. Hold for a moment, Erona.
Erona: I heard her. That's fine, if it doesn't jeopardize the mission.

The two of them sit back down and wait.

Maria: Just go to him for convenience. He will understand that you have a mission.

Malik is seen waiting at his computer. He is apparently watching a camera that he set up just outside of the secret entrance to the base.

Malik: What is taking them so long?

Katy and Sarah checkers game finished up not long after Seto and Erona's. Sarah used a better tactic and ultimately had 2 kings against Katy's 1, once she was backed into a corner, the game was as good as over. Katy stood up and smiled.

Katy: Well that was a bit of fun. Nice game.

(I really don't want to rp out an entire checkers game. lol)

We check back in with Tesla who is seen slipping a ticket into her pocket as.

Tesla: [i]The guys I hired should start repairs on any damages to the house in the morning. A few days away would be nice, take a cruise. Maybe even vacation if I feel like it.[i]

Sandra lays a hand on Reina's shoulder.

Sandra: You got the only light. I just want to make sure we don't get separated down here. *sigh* I got to do something about these agents always following me. Anyway, lead on.

Erona and Seto promptly leave the room and Seto knocks on Malik's door.

Seto: It's me.

Malik: Come in.

Reina hands the flashlight to Sandra.

Reina: I don't need it.

Reina walks down the passage, while putting her left hand on the dirt wall to feel her way.

----

Back at the graveyard, the agents are seen looking at the rock.

Agent1: They must be down under, there is no other way.
Agent2: What do you suggest?
Agent1: Blow it open.
Agent2: Won't that hurt the bodies?
Agent1: This is an empty area.

The two of them go inside the room.

Seto: Hey, Malik. You wanted to talk to me? What's up?

Malik: Ah it's you. I guess Maria told you to come. Anyway, as you should know Seto, Sarah and I are heading to Japan soon. I'm having Maria temporarily take over my duties while I'm away.

Sandra followed Reina.

Sandra: You really don't have to walk blind. Wouldn't it just be easier if you lead me though?

Katy: Want a glass of water or anything Sarah?

The agents set up explosives and back away. After a few minutes, they blow open the tunnel which accidentally makes it start to slowly collapse.

Reina: I'm not going blind. The agents can do anything.

Reina starts to feel the ceiling shake way back using the wall.

Reina: Run.

----

Sarah: No thanks.

----

Zeik and Irvine are seen relaxing in the cafeteria, back at the table that Irvine always eats at.

Zeik: Slow day. This always happens when General Tetra is gone.
Irvine: Yeah. I wonder how she would feel if she knew this always happened.

Erona: If that's it then, we should go.
Seto: Right. I'll see you later, Malik. Keep me updated with what goes on in Japan.

The two of them leave and exit the base consequently.
