Evolution.

The group is led one of to Sarah's villages. Once they get there, it starts to rain and any tracks disappear. Hannah shivers a bit instantly, being very bad off in the rain thanks to her power. Sarah's phone starts to ring and she answers.

Sarah: Yes Lopez?
Felipe: We're on our way to home. No casualties, injuries are a minimum. Bring everyone.
Sarah: Understood.

She hangs up and looks at the group, a welcoming smile on her face.

Sarah: We move out in the morning. We're allies now, the American Werewolves and the army are our main enemies. Lopez wants us all to head to our main home.
Hannah: Great...when can I get out of the rain?

Hannah wasn't sarcastic, she just already felt a cold coming.

Katie noticed Hannah's discomfort. Katie loved the rain but with Hannah's powers being fire, it was understandable she was the exact opposite. Katie forms some ice, it takes a familiar shape and makes a sort of make shift umbrella. Katie hands it over to Hannah with a polite smile.

Katie: Here. Maybe this will help.

Hannah nods. It helped but not much.

Sarah: We're going to take these.

Sarah points at a bunch of jeeps parked in the center. She did notice Hannah but wanted to finish debriefing.

Sarah: Hannah, Katie we'll share a house. Jamie and the band will get another. Then the other wolves.

Sarah leads them to their temporary homes, ending with hers. She lets the girls in first. The homes were simple. Two bedroom with extra large beds, a bathroom and a living room with a fireplace, couch and freezer box, along with books.

Katie: Cozy. Hey Hannah, it kinda reminds me of the place you had when we met.

Katie found the place had a very cabin like feel to it.

Hannah: Yeah.

Sarah gets started cooking dinner. She wanted Katie and Hannah to relax.

Katie sits down on the couch and checks the freezer box, there was water and drinks already stacked up. Katie grabbed a water and sat back to relax.

Katie: All in all we're quite lucky. We got in, got to Phillips, and got out with no loss of life. But where do we go from here?

Hannah: Only place I can think of is Sarah's home. Until we find a way to get respected, we have nowhere else to turn. We're criminals.
Sarah: We wait. If the army continues their ways with those with powers, we take out the head.

Dinner was soup, getting reheated so it was almost ready.

Katie: Well we where treated as criminals before, technically I've been a criminal ever since I joined you Hannah. But, I get what your saying. I guess we lay low and see what happens.

Sarah serves dinner. Lamb, potatoes and cabbage soup with bread on the side.

Sarah: Eat up.

Colette is waking up from surgery. There is a soldier waiting for her to fully wake up with news about Phillips, and a promotion.

When Colette is fully awakened the soldier friendly greets her before changing to a more serious tone. He explains that Phillips was assassinated, single shot right in the head. Top suspects are the Maiden, the traitor Blue, or a werewolf who they haven't nailed down the details to yet. He further explains that Katie's attack had took out power to most security features outside door locks, this included all security camera's that went black and failed to capture who the shooter was.

The new wasn't all bad however. Colette was a very well respected soldier and was Phillips second in command. With Phillips untimely death, Colette was now in prime position to assume his place as commander and chief, to be the new top dog of military operations. It's a promotion only deserving of a elite, and Colette has more then proved her worth and readiness for the job.

Katie thanked Sarah for the meal and more, this mission would of failed without her arrival, there just would of been to much for Hannah and Katie to handle by themselves. Without Sarah Katie would of never found the passage, leaving her only way out to fight though sector B. Katie and her group would of surely been slaughtered there. And that may of in turn lead to the death of Hannah and the band. She didn't have time to properly express her gratitude before. So she felt the need to do it now.

Zaria is pacing back and forth.

Zaria: What's taking so long? I haven't herd from them. Maybe we should go help.
Hinata: Don't! We are the last resort! The secrecy weapon! If they needed our help then they would have called us.
Zaria: Well I am still going to check on them with my shadow.

Colette: Assign a temporary commander and chief. I'll accept the promotion after I get released.

Meanwhile, Zaria and Ken would get texts from Jamie, letting them know that Phillips is dead. The text also says he'll update them on location when they get settled down.

Soldier: As you wish, mam.

The soldier then sets off upon his duties to report Colette's decision.

Hannah also thanked Sarah. After eating they were allowed to sleep. Hannah was prepared to sleep on the couch but Sarah insisted on sharing her bed.

In the morning, the jeeps are getting packed. All the food and water from the freezer boxes included, along with extra clothes.

Sarah: Any of you comfortable driving? We have 5 jeeps but four of our clan.
Jamie: If Katie doesn't I will. Hannah doesn't drive more than an atv.
Sarah: Got it. I'll get y'all a change of clothes when we get to my village. This is just a hunting camp.

Colette had a decent night. She'd be out by noon if lucky, but on pace for the next day. A soldier visits her, clearly female, from her old training squad.

Soldier: Hey Colette , I came asap once I heard.
Colette: Hi Amy. Who's taking your post in Seattle?
Amy: Lieutenant Steve Smith. He ordered me to go.
Colette: Thanks for coming. Stick around a few days, I have to accept an offer.


Amy was the only one in Colette's training squad that she got along with.

Katie responded to Sarah to let her know that she'll drive. Katie was a bit curious if a werewolf village was any different to a humans, she was interested to see what laid ahead. Also a clean set of cloths sounded great as well.

Everyone gets in vehicles. Jamie decided to ride with Katie, Hannah was with Sarah. The ride started uneventful.

Katie follows Sarah's lead.

Katie: So um Jamie, Hannah says you really saved her hide yesterday. Wanna chat about how it all went down?

Katie felt like Jamie was someone she hasn't had a huge amount of interaction, she figured maybe she could spark a convo with him, get to know him a little better.

Jamie: Pretty much I had to distract Lee before he blew her head off.

Jamie then goes into more detail, explaining what happened.

Katie listened as Jamie explained how everything went down.

Katie: Sounds like you was at the right place at the right time. Lucky you had body armor on to take those bullets, and that you wasn't shot in the head.

Jamie: Right. I always wear a vest, just to be safe.

After a few more hours, they arrive at the town. It was like a normal town, the key differences being no grocery store and there were no wires since everything ran off generators. Sarah gets out of her jeep, in the center of town, after honking. This caused the pack members to gather.

Sarah: We have guests. I allied with some gifted that will help us change the world for the better. These are Jamie, Hannah and Katie.
Hannah: There are 8 of us now. Expect two groups to join, one around 8 and one closer to 40. Thanks for the hospitality.

Colette was released from the hospital, arm in a sling. Unfortunately this was her good arm. Amy is driving her to the secondary HQ, as the main one was the one attacked. The security at the secondary HQ is beyond tight when they pull up, the whole town on lockdown in the city hall, where the speech will be streamed along with on the news and at the White House.

Katie was a little surprised that a settlement like full of werewolves had gone unnoticed. Surely Phillips scouts wouldn't miss a entire town, and if this pack had killed all the scouts, then that would of set of alarms as well if anybody that ever came this way never reported back. The town was off the grid which helped. But still no planes/heli's ever flew past, no scouts or soldiers ever drove up the road? Katie wondered how Phillips had never bombed this place to oblivion.

Ken and Zaria's groups arrived at the village around the same time.

Zaria: Finally! I thought that we would never get here.

Ken: I'm just glad that these werewolfs are on our side.

They go and meet up with the rest of the group.

Katie is one of the first to welcome Ken and Zaria as soon as she see them walk in.

Ken: I'm glad that everyone is alright.

Hinata: I'm fucking pissed that I didn't get to kill anyone.

Zaria: Watch your language little missy. Remember that we are the secret weapons. We can't just go out whenever we want.

Hinata: Whatever, but I'll fucking curse if I want.

Ken: Anyway, due we have a plan for our next course of action.

"For now we lay low and see what kind of response there is towards Phillips death." Katie responded.
