Music while gaming.

Who here has their music on, or has a personal play list playing while you are gaming?

I play a play list on fighting games, but for racing and shooting, no.

Shooting I must have music off or I'll die constantly lol, to distracting. With racing... well, music effects my mood. With music off, I'm calm, driving sensible. With music on, especially songs with good guitar solos, I tend to drive much faster, often to fast, and take more risks. Usually resulting in a loss XD.

Fighting is opposite though, music tend to help me in those games as I tend to fight much harder.

It depends on the game and my mood. Usually no, but every once and a while I'll do it.

Sometimes. It depends on my mood, the game, and the seriousness of what's going down.

90% yes so I just voted yes. I play games that I've played a lot so the music bores me. Only exceptions are FF games and the newer Pokemon games.

I never do. I like to enjoy the games soundtrack and sound effects.

Sometimes. If it's a game where the sound effects and music are a fairly large part of the game, especially if it's a game I've never played before, then no. But if it's a game that I know well and are more simple, then sometimes yes, if I feel like it.

I play music when doing racing games... but not into headphones. I turn the game music off and turn the engine SFX to 100%, and put the other SFX 75%. It works for me, cuz I do outrageously fast racing. I usually flip over on corners, because I try to slide too hard. I turn 16 soon, so.... Stay off the sidewalks.

That's fine, really. As long as it's not a massive tangent, I'm sure nobody minds.

If it's a game that requires focus, then no. If it's a game i'm good at and it doesn't need much focus then I let music take me away.

When the music sucks in a game and I've played it enough to be ok without SFX, I'll use music unless I can just take away the music and not SFX.

Answer to that is no, I just listen to what the game has to offer.

I listen to music and play games... But not at the same time. Because I'm such a bitch on what I want to listen to and if I like the song enough, I pay more attention to the song and well... Get fucked.

When I play FPSs on rare instances, I do set some music up. Other than that, no. I normally play RPGs or other adventure games where the music is part of the experience.
