| I read it back in 9th grade in school and while I may not remember everything, I will say that I really did enjoy the book. It represents rebellious kids being free and doing as they wish, but also having friends with strong bonds between each others while surviving in a tough neighborhood. It has great character development, a unique setting, good writing, and it is a homage to today's kids, even if it was made about forty-five years ago. | |

Trust me i'm not a weaboo......the only Anime i've ever been interested in was Pokemon , Digimon and Dragon Ball/Z and those spawned from my youth and then Inuyasha and Death Note and Case Closed later down the line.....that is it. i also only have 7 manga 6 of which are based off video games which is my purpose of geting them because I loved the series and I only like a few songs from Japan but I won't deny japan puts out some awesome games!

You know it's Manga, not Magna, right? I'm not sure why you think he'd be a weeaboo but that's pretty funny. I love a lot of what Japan has to offer personally, but I'm far from a weeaboo. I.e I won't watch a sub if I can find a dub of it.
