| My opinion on this game will be stated below.....
Anyways this game underneath the new skin is a 12 year old game. By 1990's standards it was acceptable story not so much but still acceptable. it is 2011 now and after 4 re-releases 5 counting either Master Quest/Zelda collection it is time for something new. Today hyrule field you may have went through in total "awe" back in 1998 really....doesn't get me excited and doesn't feel and seem fresh anymore.
We have advanced in the times and a video game is about *gasp* gameplay! These new graphics which do not even show off the limits of the 3DS do not matter one bit. The freshness and excitement of something "new" while still retaining that Zelda magic was what i was desperately hoping for in this game but none of that came to be we never got a new temple , new items and or anything that was originally intended back in the day but we get the same old glitches and same old text showing that this never was made from the ground up as people had lead other believe.
It is time to move on and sadly say goodby to the Ocarina of Time. After all of these releases and for what a boss rush mode to fight the exact same bosses again when we have already fought them numerous times before? if you'd played Master Quest. Nintendo needs to move on from Ocarina of Time also. They do not intend to do anything with all the unused material once conceived to make a good game a great game Only rush this tired out and needing of a good nrest title out the door for a quick buck. I loved the Ocarina back in it's debut but after all these years with nothing fresh brought to the table I won't be wasteing $40 when I can get a better more refreshing new experience elsewhere.

| I think Nintendo keeps re-releasing it because it's the best fucking game ever made. | |

No sir that is inaccurate it is not even the best Zelda game. That title belongs to "Majora's Mask". Ocarina of Time which may have seemed great for it's time hasn't aged well and the entire game feels pretty bland and souless with a piss poor story stealing elements from past Zelda stories and acting as if it it was brand new doesn't help it's case. Although they "prettified" the graphics to what doesn't even test the limits it is the same old game with the same old text that has been releaseed four times before. Don't go in it expecting anything from URA/Beta Zelda because you won't get any of that. This at it's core is the same old game with nothing new interesting enough to keep you playing it for the 10th time over. This is a game Nintendo needs to put to rest and by buying it you are encourageing them to yet again re-release it with nothing new to the table. By all means if the graphics are so important they justify the $40 prioe tag then get it otherwise this is the exact same tired overdone game we've constantly played for the last 12 years and your money can be better spent.

Personally I only got to play OoT a couple of times because my parents would keep buying me Pokemon, Mario, and FF games. Anyway, I think it could be a good buy for somebody that didn't get many chances to play the game. Sure it might not be great to your insanely high standards Mulder. However to the average gamer that isn't used to HD PS3/360 games with insane gameplay and deep story it might just be a great way to try the 3DS. Btw Mulder, there is no need to try to force your own opinions on everybody. If Empire thinks OoT is the best game of ever made, let him think it instead of trying to change it/prove his opinion to be wrong.

| The graphics are inferior to the Gamecube version anyway. They look more like Wind Waker's art style for some odd reason. Anyway, I like the GC OoT/MQ the best out of any Zelda followed by Twilight Princess. But even I agree that they need to stop re-making the game if they're not going to add a lot of new stuff to it.
Speaking of, I've been replaying the GC Ocarina of Time by sheer coincidence.

| I always thought that OoT should have been released on the DS just so you can take one of the finest games of all time on the go. But oh well... We got it on the 3DS. | |
