| i woke up and the laptop i was using was abnormally slow so i shut it off and tried to reboot problem is it takes me to a screen that says launch startup repair (which leads to endless black screen) or start windows normally (which leads to the microsoft cooperation green loading bar) i tried letin the charge die and restart but same results. it is a borrowed laptop am using my ps3 to type this please help? | |

| Sounds like you have a virus to me. Hold Alt (I think it's Alt) when starting up the computer and go into Safe Mode. Then run Anti-virus stuff. | |

| sucks whenever i try that it shows a bunch of text go by freezes finishes then takes me right back to the two options i mentioned in the other post. everything i do with safe mode ends with that result....... fuck | |

| Something like this happened to a friends computer. He had a Compaq so I don't know if those will work for you but he kept pressing F8 until it went into something called advanced boot options then he went to last known good configuration or something like that. | |
