Does anyone here know anything about competetive Pokemon battling?

If so, we could hold tournaments, and such. But mainly, I'm just curious.

Mainly what you've told me about it. I haven't looked TOO far into depth.

I know a little about it. Basically movesets, EVs, IVs, and natures. Maybe we could make some lolwut teams and have a tournament...if i can ever get the internet to work with my DS

Well, no, I was never really the super-nerdy competitive type when it comes to fucking Pokemon. But hey, some Wi-Fi battles with the bros around here might be fun, though I think my DS has been having trouble getting online, (haven't tried it in awhile) so we'll see.

Yeah, if we do it, I'm gonna go with 6 Eeveelutions in SoulSilver but I'll want to beat it first and somehow get the internet to work with it.

There is actually a simulator for the computer. It makes it much easier to do the IVs, EVs, etc. It's called "Shoddy Battle". Download Here

You also dont have the pain in the ass that is "breeding for a good IV/Nature/Hidden Power combination". Plus, you don't have to deal with WiFi and all that, as well as being able to swiftly and easily change a set if need be. However, if we don't bother with IVs, then thats a different story (and that means i can use my Adamant Life Orb Gyarados)

Yeah, I know all about it. But I only play UU, because OU is just monotonous.

UU is pretty fun because you get badass Pokemon like Charizard.

Maybe we can set up a UU tourney using the Smogon server on Shoddy, I just made a team for it.

I'd have to make a team, which I will do eventually.

Shoddy Battle stopped working on my computer. Maybe it'll work now.

UU. I only play UU because it's more interesting and less monotonous.

Did you register for the Smogon server before making your team?

Edit: Try Pokemon GTS server. I'll have to remake my team but it should work.

I can't seem to connect to that either. I don't know if it means anything, but it shows all the servers as having 0 players.

That has something to do with it. I can't connect to Smogon and it shows 0 players.

We could make this a Mystic competition if there's enough interest.
