Agreed. I found a online Video to MP3 converter and uses that to get the music. Best thing is, if youtube takes the music video's down, for every song youtube takes down there are like a dozen other people posting the same song back up. lol

Hell I've gotten music from youtube that I couldn't even find at all on my old PC using search engines like Limewire and crap. Video converter for free music FTW.

Honestly why do people buy off Itunes? If you are going to buy the songs why not just buy the album itself for more than likely a cheaper price and you could put them on your PC as MP3s and actually own the CD so you'll always have it. I do download most of my music for free though through a pirateing bay site! it's either that or buying the CD (I have like 30 something)

I google search whatever the song name is with mediafire at the end. So it'd look like this: "(Name of song) mediafire" and usually it gives me a link to download the mp3 for free. The only time I'd buy a CD is if I REALLY like that artists music and I want to support them.

There are definite benefits to both. For instance, there could be one song you like from a band and want it, so you're better off paying the ten cents for the one song rather than buying a full album of songs you don't like and one you do. Although when you buy the CD, that's the best quality of music you can get. Like seriously, I imported my SA2 soundtrack into my iTunes and the difference was staggering.

Well i'm just going by the assumption if you are downloading a song from a specific band you are more than likely to like something else from that same album or artist. Although I would pay top dollar for my most beloved band there really is no reason to buy from Itunes when you can just find as good of quality online since most of the money goes to the studio and not the band themselves anyways.....unless you count concerts and yes nothing beats the original CD whatsoever. You got the full album intact and at it's upmost quality you can't ask for much more! :3

I've had a couple cases otherwise, though. Most of the time you're correct.

That depends...

If it's from old TV shows/video games/other media that do not focus on music that much, there's no real point in buying CD's for it and they're not that likely to be made available legally anyway.

As for music artists, that will depends if I start buying musics or not. One thing for certain, unlike video game/TV shows, I don't think the risk of pirating it is worth it since unlike those two, it has more of an effect on the person making it. Most of my stuff will be from iTunes on musics that I like, unless each and every song is good. Yes, I will listen to all the music free before I buy a CD. But mostly no.
