| Am I the only one who thinks there are too many music competition shows? This past year they have announced (as far as I'm concerned) 2 already. The voice and I just seen a banner on this site for another one called duets. Isn't there already the X-Factor, and american idol? Is this the new fad or something? | |

| It's been a fad for some years now. Music is one of the few recreational things that has lasted through the years. In this day and age, there is a lot of emphasis on music. Everyone wants to be a singer or guitar player. America/Britain's Got Talent usually is overloaded with singers too.
And if you think about it, music can be implemented almost anywhere. That said, I don't watch those shows anymore as I got sick of American Idol very fast. | |
