| It skyrocketed OP's online popularity because it was kind of like DBZ, with all of its action and long 1 on 1 battles where powerful attack after powerful attack is used. The main villains are also more bland than some of the minor DBZ villains. There was also a lot of character stupidity and DEM.
Objectively speaking, it's vastly inferior to other parts like Skypiea where, aside from battles, there was great storytelling, worldbuilding and character moments. But who cares about that, amirite?
It does have its moments though, namely Robin's flashback and the part that comes after it and the ending. | |

| The Funny thing is that I live in NYC and I never bought One Piece. I love collecting Manga and now I think I have to get One Piece. I did take it out from the Library alot though. | |
