| I was bored this afternoon, so in the spur of the moment, I got the great idea of playing a Playstation 2 game on my laptop, to simply see if it would work. Wouldn't of actually played it, cause I don't have a PC gaming controller. It was simply for the lol's to see if it would worked. I figured it wouldn't load anything, but the laptop did load and play the games audio files, just wouldn't play the actual game. The game file came up as a zipped file that is unfamiliar to windows (really no surprise though).
Hmm, I'm starting to wonder now if it's possible to unzip the file XD. I might try one of these days to do that. I was also trying to open it in Windows Media Player if that makes any difference.
I've been thinking about for a long time trying a few PC games. I have 4GB of RAM and roughly 252GB of storage to work with. I don't download movies, and music, I haven't downloaded enough music to fill a 2GB MP3 player yet. So I'm not exactly low on memory space XD.
Meh, maybe someday.
Would anyone here suggest PC gaming, if I was willing to get a game controller and game?

| Yeah, PC gaming is good, if you're into those kind of games. Civilization is one of them. | |

| Does PC have the same (or most of the same) games as consoles? (well, minus console exclusives of course).
Also as a fyi, I don't give a rats ass about online. 2 Player is cool for when my buddy comes over, that's about it. I really couldn't care less about connecting online.

| Yeah, PCs get all games which aren't exclusives.
But building a proper gaming PC costs heaps.

| Yeah PC gaming is nice. I remember back in 06-07 before gears and Console games caught up. Half life 2 was the best looking game and only PC players had it.
Now all games look good as PC games and PC gamers consist of people who play MMO's, RTS's, and those who prefer the mouse and keyboard for thier FPS games. Which I might add is how Left 4 Dead is meant to be played.

| I used to be a World of Warcraft fanatic. Played that shit non stop for years everyday. Sad to say, I do not have it anymore, but that's probably for the best. | |

| What about using Torrents to download PC games.
Do you have to burn the files to DVD, or can you boot and play them straight from the hard drive?

I have a game file downloaded but can't open it. All I have is Windows Media and Adopt Reader (usual stuff a PC comes with) What program or whatnot would I need to open this game? Can someone link me to something that might work?

| You need to either burn the .iso file to a disc or mount it to a virtual drive with a program like Daemon Tools or Alcohol 120%. Then you can install it like usual and, usually, use the crack that's included.
PC game emulator for PC... seriously?
