| So when E3 starts, post whatever you like about the subjects brought up. The only things I'm looking for are Sly 4 and a release date for localized Ace Attorney Investigations 2. | |

| There are some aspects of Halo that I can respect and that's that you don't die in 1.3 seconds like in CoD. | |

| Microsoft press conference sucked if you ask me. The only thing that was interesting to me is Youtube on the Xbox (Something Wii and PS3 already have) Tom Clancy, and the tomb raider game. The rest was a whole bunch of Kinect BS, the announcement of another Halo game, and other uninteresting games. Can't wait for Sony's and Nintendo's.

I think it's still too early for all these new systems.

| If you look at the timeframe of the last several console releases/announcements you'll know it's about time.

| Even thought I don't own a Xbox 360, I did watch that and Sony's. I will obviously be watching Nintendo's tomorrow. My opinions will be laid out here once Nintendo's conference is finished. | |

| So it looks like Europe got screwed over with PlayStation Vita. It's $250 for Americans and 250 Euros for Europe. They're hardly the same, though. I feel bad for Europe. | |

| The Nintendo conference is embarrassing so far. Wii U looks like shit and all the 3DS has is its freaking remake. But there's wind of a new Smash Bros. | |

We pay more tax, so no, we actually earn less than Americans on average. On the other hand we have no unemployment problems and quality health care. But we get majorly screwed over time and time again, so at one point you just get used to it, I guess.

Well.......ARE YOU SMOKING CRACK AND SHOVING HERION UP YOUR ASS? Wii u looks great and a genius idea. With games coming up the ass, it will be a hit in a matter of weeks when it comes out. Better then the Wii

| @Extremewild: Strider Zero, like you and all other members, are entitled to their opinion. I understand disagreeing with each other, but you've went overboard with what you just did.
I'm doing my reviews in reverse order, so I'm reviewing Nintendo E3 2011's conference first.
The conference started out with an orchestration of The Legend of Zelda music plus a lot of Zelda news to follow. I liked this section a lot, although it was a shame not to see any The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword game play (But to be fair, at least it's confirmed Wii-exclusive)
After Zelda stuffs came E3. All four reveals were great, with my personal favorite being the Super Mario 3D game. I just love the nostalgia elements it gives in the conference and it goes back to the SMB3 and SM64 days, the latter of which is my favorite video game of all-time. Kid Icarus: Uprising was also great as was the surprise of Luigi's Mansion 2. Core support remaining on the 3DS is also great, although to be honest, it isn't enough for me to sway me back from the PSVita.
The big part, however, is the new console and I'm mixed on this one.
When the name was revealed, it was, to say the least, laughable. Seriously, Wii-U? That sounds babyish and something for kids, opposite of what Nintendo is trying to attract. The contradiction will hinder them, not help them.
I was not a fan of the first Wii-U announcement either. LEGO is a good franchise, but hardly something that I would want to announce as a first game. It could be a great game, but it's unsuitable as a first announcement, unlike Kid Icarus: Uprising, which everyone loved.
The way it was presented wasn't really impressive either. While I will almost certainly get the console depending if I can ever afford it, the presentation feels really off and feels more like a gimmick then an actual console. I'm sure that it'll be a good console, but at this point, people started to give up on the Wii-U.
Luckily for us, things started to turn around with an amazing announcement regarding Super Smash Bros. 4 for both 3DS and Wii-U. This game is the reason why I will do everything in my power to buy Wii-U as I've always loved these games and there's no reason for a fan like me not to buy one.
Third-party games also quickly turned good as it showcase quite a few hardcore games that people like me are interested in. This shows that Nintendo is consistent with their promise for better core support and better third-party support.
Sadly, the conference was a bit short.
Overall: Really enjoyed the show. There were a few things that concerned me about the conference and it didn't meet my expectation for this year, but it was a satisfying conference with lots of great games and a console, while with a flawed presentation, has a lot of promise. Oh and SSB4 rocks my socks.
80/100. | |
