| Now THAT would be a shocker. I personally don't think it means anything, but then again who knows, right? I'm currently in the middle of a FF7 run-through right now, and I keep asking myself, "How amazing would this be remade in HD graphics?" | |

| C'mon, Square, do it! It might take 15 years but do it anyway! | |

| 15 years sound about right. Especially if they do it while sticking their ass on other projects. | |

| I'd rather not see SE ruin the integrity of the original game.
As evident in that poor Advent Children film and almost every other FFVII-related media to be released in the past decade, SE, in their current state, don't exactly have many good writers. Seeing them go back and try to tackle the original story with modern graphics isn't really worth it if they're going to turn every scene into a bad melodrama with even more cheesy dialogue.
Whenever I hear "FFVII remake", I don't picture the classic story filled with endearing characters in amazing HD graphics, I picture said story being turned into an unenjoyable experience due to being forced to play as the insufferable SE interpretations of Cloud and the others that we've been subjected to for the past few years.

| Melodrama and cheesy dialogue overflowed from the original game. How would a remake make it worse than what it was?
Also, Tetsuya Nomura has been in charge of Cloud Strife's character from day one. Anything that's happened to Cloud's character has been by Nomura's design or approval. Besides, he hasn't changed much. He's still the same apathetic, self-loathing character he's always been.

Yes, the original game had its moments, but it was mostly bearable. Compared with today's material churned out by SE, though? No, it was definitely less painful to sit through from what I remember. - Quote :

Nonsense. Cloud did indeed have a lot of trials to overcome and had emotional baggage, but he was blatantly far more upbeat and tolerable than the bland robot we see today.

| What did you think of Crisis Core? I haven't played it, but I've heard that they stuck pretty true to the original FFVII as a prequel. | |

| Eh, it's alright. If there's one satisfactory thing to come out of the compilation, that would be it. We could have done without it and it's not like we needed anything to delve even deeper into FFVII's backstory, but it isn't something utterly abysmal or damaging like AC. It's worth a play. | |

| If I had PSP I would definitely have played and beaten it by now. Advent Children was something else. I have no idea what they were thinking. They made some people look pretty awesome though like Zack and Reno. | |

| Well, at least it'll enable someone to hack an HD experience. | |

| Well I guess that domain makes some sense now considering the PC in it. | |
