Legend of Korra

So today I heard about this avatar spin off show that will come out in 2011. What is you opinon on it?

Believe it or not, avatar and Legend of Korra aren't animes. I was shocked too to hear they aren't done in Japan.

Anyway, it should be pretty cool. They did a great job with Avatar.

Avatar was great, hopefully this is as good.

I'm looking forward to it. Because it's only one season long, it won't have any filler episodes.

And am I the only one who knew Avatar was American? The production values are way higher than a typical anime.

We can't all be an Anime/Cartoon King like you Kai.

I'm not the king, Sora is. I think the only cartoons/anime I've seen in the past year are Avatar and One Piece. And One Piece I've watched for longer than a year, so that doesn't really count.

I thought it was Japanese till I looked it up. There aren't American cartoons quite like it these days.

I knew Avatar was American, but I haven't really watched it. The main characters just annoyed me.

Eh, they grow on you once you get to watch to the show longer and longer.

I hate Aang, but Sokka is hilarious. Toph and reformed Zuko are awesome too.

Aang was semi-annoying as well as Katara but I never minded them as characters. Reformed Zuko was the best.

Can't say how it looks by the teaser but I thought I'd post it anyway. I noticed that they removed the Avatar off the official name. Figures after Cameron sued the Last Airbender LAM for the name Avatar despite the Last Airbender show being much older than the Cameron film.

My favourite characters are Zuko, Toph, Uncle and Azula. Sokka is cool too.!

I watched the first episode and decide I could actually stand to watch this because the main character isn't as annoying as Aang.

The only thing I am iffy about is the antagonist. He is kind of meh..

Aang was terrible. Terrible.

Granted I only watched the first 10 or so episodes before giving up.

Aang gets better over the course of the series. Although he was never truly a good character.

I loved avatar personally, i mean it did seem a bit kiddyish being a nickelodeon cartoon and some of the characters could grain on ur nerves a bit, specially in the beginning. Aang in particular was i dont know a bit nerving cus he just seemed immature i guess (well he is a kid so what can u expect right) but as the show rolled on and u see him master the elements one by one and mature, he really does come into his own i think. Thats why for me alot of stories are make or break if i cant like the main character, its about watching them grow, mature, overcome obstacles, trials, and tribulations that are thrown in front of them. Ur typical zero to hero scenario if u will. I have to say a lot of them grew on me, aang and katara i think made for a good couple as bits and hints of it came out. Zuko went from being annoying always trying to please his father to finally listening to his uncle and becoming one of my favorites by far in the show. There really is alot i could say about this show but id end up going on a long ass tangent and i dont think many people wanna read a wall of text the size of the great wall lol. So i have to say overall, avatar was i think one hell of a show and the legend of korra (got ep 1 downloaded) looks very promising.

One of my friends has been telling me he gets better but I dunno. Maybe if I get into this series enough I'll check out the previous one.`

Couldn't agree more Tom! Zuko was definitely my favourite character. ^__^
Oh and uncle!!! Oh and Toph! @_@ Hell, I loved every character. Even down to crazy Azula.

Zuko was the shit from the beginning. But he became the most badass at the end.

If Zuko was the one with the facial scar, he was my favourite by far.
