Yeah, pretty much agreed. Just finished Impel Down and the war arc is next. Overall Impel Down was standard for a long arc, but it definitely dragged on in a few parts, so I see why you said that earlier in the topic. I enjoyed Amazon Lily more probably, mainly because of how hilarious it was and Boa Hancock's 360 in personality towards Luffy. | |

| A few more things about the War Arc. - Spoiler:
Ace's death was a dick move by Oda since they spent so much time and effort in Impel Down and Marineford to get him free just so that he could get trolled by Akainu. He did Ace's death well though. Also, Blackbeard's powers are way too much of a stretch of his devil fruit. Able to take away powers and even steal them is a bit much. Shanks is the shit, Crocodile is the shit, Whitebeard was the shit, etc.
The war arc would have been a good time for the Straw Hats to show up if they gathered together prior. Like if they showed up in order to make the getaway with Ace. But I guess the war was way over everyone's head in the crew minus Luffy and Zoro.

For the most part, I suppose you're right, but Luffy at least is on par with some of the Shichibukai (Stronger than Moria at least). Zoro is getting there quickly. There were many different levels of pirates and marines theres, and I'd say Luffy was stronger than at least 90% of the people there. It only looked worse for him because a lot of the toughest people went up against him like the Admirals and Hawkeye. He also didn't match up well against the logias like usual. | |
