I still do, considering how pokemon is taking a big turn with the 5th gen and pokemon white and black being pretty good. I think I can start getting into this more.

I loved the first two generations of the show. Hoenn was okay and the battle frontier was different. Sinnoh just couldn't keep me. Also The only reason that ash keeps traveling is because he hasn't won any major championships. That is due to the fact that he keeps releasing his pokemon and leaving them behind. If ash kept all his pokemon through all the regions, his team would be extremely powerful. The only thing that is unsure is if he would want his pokemon to evolve. I mean his squrtle and bulbasuar should have been fully evolved after the Kanto region.
