Favorite And Least Favorite Console?

Of all time:
Retro Console: (From the beginning of games till PS1 and N64)
Semi-Modern Console: (PS2, Gamecube, Xbox, GBA, GBA SP)
Modern Console: (DS (All versions), Wii, Xbox 360 (All versions), PS3 (All versions))
The not as popular console: (Dreamcast, Saturn, or any other crazy system that not many played)


For me, my favorites are...

Retro: PS1 and N64
Semi-Modern: Gamecube
Modern: PS3 (backwards compatible)

Retro: Gameboy
Semi-Modern: Xbox
Modern: Xbox 360
Not as popular: Sega CD

Retro Console: N64 - I was a Nintendo fan way back when, and in the N64 days, Nintendo was really on it's gam.

Semi-Modern Console: PS2 - PS2 without question, fuck that piece of shit Gamecude. You may as well of just called this the PS2 era, cause it was the king of gaming systems.

Modern Console: PS3 - I don't own any myself. I have played both Xbox 360 and PS3 though. I suppose I'm just more comfortable with a PS3 where it's so much like the PS2 controller. DS, PSP and th like doesn't interest me much.

The not as popular console: Maybe Super Nintendo. I use to own one before the N64.

Retro: Gameboy - As I said, not really into hand held.

Semi-Modern: Game Cube - I never played the original XBOX, and PS2 just completely pawned the crap outta Game Cube.

Modern: DS, PSP.

Not as popular: NA.

I forgot All time but I actually don't have one.

Also, I completely disagree about Gamecube. I loved the controller and the games made for it.

I got a friend that keeps trying to sell me a Game cube, I keep refusing him. I'm not fond on the controllers, and some of the games he's trying to sell we both for the PS2 as well, and we find them better on the PS2 compared to the Game Cube version.

I hadn't had a console that I've hated, but my favorite would have to be the SNES. That was awesome. I got one at a Goodwill for 20 bucks (when they go for well over 100 bucks on Ebay).

Oh yeah, I think least favorite console now that I think of it, if hand held systems count, was the Sega Game Gear. My dad had it at his house and that thing had its games, sure... But the batteries can go fuck themselves. 6 AAs! Gone in a matter of hours... Plus, the damn thing was bulky as oppose to the Gameboy Brick, Pocket, and Color.

Favorites:

Retro: N64. I had the funnest times with my brothers on this thing. SSB, SM64, Mario Kart 64 (too bad it didn't age too well) and of course Ocarina of Time.

Semi-modern: Gamecube. Even though it didn't sell that well and have all the features the PS2 and Xbox had, it still had the thing that made gaming consoles awesome. GREAT GAMES!

Modern: Wii. It's cheap, once you dig through the crappy shovelware you'll find great games such as Brawl, MKW, No More Heroes, Madworld, and Sonic and the Secret Rings (Yeah I said it!) and many other titles. Plus, it has Genesis, SNES, 64, and many others all in one place.

Not as popular: Sega Saturn. Even though Sega made some big mistakes with this system, it still has some pretty awesome games such as Astal, Saturn Bomberman, and Nights into dreams. I am pretty sure that if I ever had a chance to play a dreamcast though, I would probably find it better.

Least Favorites:

Retro: Atari Jaguar. To all who haven't played this piece of trash, I advice you to STAY AWAY. I don't care what anyone says, I will ALWAYS hate this piece of garbage.

Semi-Retro: Xbox. It had about three games I enjoyed but that's it. It didn't have a lot of games that I enjoyed even though it catered to the older crowd.

Modern: I have to go with the PSP. To me it's more of a Media-Player more than a game console. It has some good games but it's competitor the DS is still way better.
