Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows

Going to see this in a few minutes. Will make some sort of written review. The first one was great.

Alright. Just got back from it. Here we go. A spoiler free review.

Story: The plot continues from the first Sherlock Holmes. However, it does not allude much to the first film, but acts more as an independent film mixed with certain characters that you should know from the first film. I very much enjoyed the plot. I would not recommend this film to anyone who can not follow movies well. The film forces you to pay attention to every word spoken, and so it may be difficult for those with sub-average intellect to follow. Not that I would accuse anyone of such things, but usually you know who you are. Overall great storyline.

Action: The action was very good. Although this contains my only problem with the film. There were a few scenes where it was very close up and difficult to read what was happening action wise. Kind of like Batman Begins. It wasn't a mood killer by any means though, and the close up was quickly corrected.

Casting: Perfect. Robert Downey Jr. is perfect for Sherlock Holmes, just as he is perfect for Iron Man. Jude Law is a great actor as well, and the two of them make a fantastic duo. The rest of the casting was great.

Score: It was relatively good and blended well with the film. Nothing that stood out as amazing to me though.

Overall: This is one of the best films I have ever seen. It was better than the original and really was fucking amazing. That close up point I mentioned was the only problem I had with A Game of Shadows. Everything else was fantastic.

Sweet, I've been looking forward to this since I heard about it. Downey Jr. is generally pretty great.
