Mystic Gohan or Super Saiyan 3 Goku?

Now here's a question that everybody argues about. Who do you think was stronger and why?

I say Super Saiyan 3 Goku.

Yes, I 100% agree.

There are great arguments on both sides but I'd have to say SSJ3

I'd say SSJ3 cause Mystic is more like SSJ1.5 and Goku has more experience.

I think Mystic Gohan is the stronger one.

When Goku and Vegeta released everyone (except for Mr. Buu) from Super Buu, Vegeta wanted to go out. However, Goku said something like, "Wait! Don't Go out yet! Even alone (not sure about alone, but he said something about him having no one left [except for Mr. Buu]), he's still stronger than both of us!"

However, when Gohan arrives, he beats the cra stuffing out of Super Buu.

You know Goku and his antics about not being able to beat someone. Against Cell he said he couldn't beat him but he could have if he had pushed his Kamehameha a little further.

He had barely any energy left.

Oh yeah, you got a point there. Although in the anime he gives Cell a senzu bean. I dunno if that's filler or not.

IIRC, he does. But what does giving Cell a senzu bean have to do with anything >_>

Do you mean 2.5? Or else SSJ2 Gohan would be stronger than Mystic, even though he got slaughtered by Fat Buu.

Yeah, I had a typo. I meant 2.5.

Goku as SSJ3 could ACTUALLY hold off against Gotenks Buu where Mystic Gohan could not.

Buu was scared that Goku would rip out his insides or whatever as SSJ1 or SSJ2

The only reason Goku said that he's too strong is because he couldn't go SSJ3 again for that part. He didn't have enough energy after unfusing. Same deal was with when Goku was restored to full power against Kid Buu he could only go SSJ1

RanterMan has a good point. SSJ3 was too hard to sustain even while dead. Goku wasn't dead at the time of unfusing. It's like KaioKen sort of without the massive body effects. Like SSJ in DBZ Sagas

Yes, but he could have gone SSJ3 if he wanted too. He just didn't need too. He knew SSJ1 was good enough.

Yes, but he could have gone SSJ3 if he wanted too. He just didn't need too. He knew SSJ1 was good enough.

Possibly, but it would have been too wearing on him I think and he wouldn't have lasted more than a few seconds.

What does energy have to do with fusing using the Potara?
Also, to whoever said that Goku was able to hold off Buutenks, the fight didn't happen in the manga.

Stating right there that he doesn't need to transform into SSJ3 to fight him anymore because Buu is now weak enough for Mystic Gohan to take care of him. "IT'S KINDA DISAPPOINTING... TOO BAD... GOHAN CAN HANDLE YOU NOW..."

Proving his antics quite further that he lets everyone else do the work. On Frieza, he knew no one else could beat him so he had to do it. But when Trunks kills Mecha Frieza, Goku says he could have Instant Transmissioned over there to easily kill Frieza but he let Trunks take care of it.

Exactly. He wants everyone else to have the credit rather then him all the time.
