Your argument is invalid.
And half of the rest, I've never heard of, but sound like generic heavy metal crap.

Regardless, my favourite bands at the moment are The Offspring, Noir Désir, The Ordinary Boys, Birds of Tokyo, Thirsty Merc and The Silversun Pickups

You will never see Crush 40 on the radio. Ever. The Offspring is my second favorite band and they appear on the radio as well, so don't pull that popular radio thing. The one song I like from Megadeth is the one that played on Guitar Hero (Something of Destruction...man, I can't remember the name). Another one of my favorites is SR-71 which I've never heard on the radio once.

Listen, Sonic has no bearing on Crush 40. The fact that they were chosen for Sonic is a horse of another color. I love Crush 40 because Johnny Gioeli has an absolute incredible voice and Jun has amazing skill with the guitar and together they make the best music in my opinion.

Jun also directed the music for Sonic Adventure 2, which happened to have the best (and best rated) soundtrack of any Sonic game ever. Crush 40's music only accommodated what was the greatest and most popular Sonic game.

I think it's pretty naive to think that we like Crush 40 just because of Sonic. Johnny sings in Axel Rudi Pell too, which has nothing to do with Crush 40 or Sonic. Here's a song from them.

I wasn't referring to what you mention here as "generic crap" so much as some other stuff in this thread (Nickelback, Linkin Park, ect.), though I still see Crush as being pretty meh. I know they make stuff on their own, but it sure seems like they mainly do Sonic-related stuff, and I'm willing to bet most of you wouldn't have even heard of them if it wasn't for the Sonic series. It doesn't make them horrible or anything, but if you mainly produce music for a video game franchise, you're kinda off the artistic roll call in my eyes-and regardless, their music simply isn't phenomenal on it's own, but that's all like just mah opinion n shit

Oh, and Symphony of Destruction? Yeah, that song's overrated.

Fair enough. I wouldn't say it's bad to like the generics like Linkin Park, Disturbed, etc. I like some generic metal like Metallica.

Yeeeeah...they're pretty no. I don't listen to much power metal at all and I know there're better bands in the genre. Not to mention, have you heard them live? Dear god.

Ah, well, what am I supposed to say? That I don't consider them nearly as generic as other thrash bands, such as Slayer, Kreator, ect.? It's not like anything I could say would change your opinion, after all.

That's all you had to say. Fair enough.

I just don't like being disregarded. >_>
