I liked the opening. I have never tried the RPG section of the site before and might give this a try.

Good time as any as we're getting a new one going.

I like to think of it as a interactive fan-fiction, something we all take part in creating.

Edit: I do want to note that I have played D&D before, I just wasn't sure how it would work by just writing online. Thanks for the explanation.

Ok. Yea like I said it's kinda like we're writing fanfiction together. We base our posts off what the guy before us writes. Ideally, you wouldn't mind waiting for everybody to have a chance to post.

Wow you guys are fast. I went to bed last night and a shit ton of progress was made.

We was both on last night and you wasn't introduced yet, so there was really no reason to wait at the time.

On an unrelated note, do you guys think anything should be added to the RP section rules? I am adding something to the first rule known as clairvoyance. It just means that a character should not be clairvoyant unless it's a specific ability.

An example of clairvoyance:
Player 1 writes: Paula approached the Great Hall, but paused outside the door, unable to be seen by anyone at the Gryffindor table. It was her favorite rabbit and she was deeply saddened by it, but did not allow her sadness to show on her face. Instead, she put on a broad smile and skipped happily across the hall, plopping down next to her friend.

In case you were wondering, Mark was the one being Clairvoyant, not Paula. In her post, Paula specifically stated that she did not allow the sadness to show on her face and that she instead had a broad smile and was happily skipping across the hall. Mark should not have known that anything was wrong and, furthermore..... how could he have known about her pet rabbit when she never said anything was wrong with it? Please be very careful to keep your character blissfully unaware of things they should not know -- even if you, the handler, do.

While this can be story-related, this can also apply to powers and abilities, which is more often the offender.

I would give the rp master the right to kick a player, with said player being allowed to make an appeal as an addition to rule 4.

As for rule 1, controlling the actions of other players sheeted characters should be frowned upon (but less of an issue than the other parts). I stress sheeted cause sometimes it's a random nurse or cop or something.

Guys I don't remember how big the training area actually is, so if it's to big then assume Katie water platform covered, hmm, lets say a football field of area if that sounds ok?

Yeah

Sounds like you have a intriguing character Strider. I'm not sure how much you can do with him but I'd be down to see how he plays out.

I want some input guys.

Where do you think I should take Katie powers? We could go full on Marval where her entire body can turn to ice or such but err, feels much to early in the rp for going that far with powers. I think we're better avoiding that for now.

I'm thinking at the moment she learns to forms weapons with ice (blades, swords, etc) and discovers she has a advantage fighting inside a body of water, like a big one being a water user, she can't drown no matter how long submerged. And water becomes easier to control when she's in it.

Any other suggestions as what to do without going to far?

Yeah those sound good. Also when I said that she had top 10 potential, I was referring to what she will be like towards the end. You could use the water benders from the avatar series as reference. They have so many things that they have done with both water and ice. As far as some end game powers, just like Zaria maybe she could turn into her element which would be either ice or water. Also learning how to pull water from the air, from plants, using her own sweat, and even blood bending. Remember we are going to be facing some very powerful enemies in the future, but just like any shonen she just can't train this early in it and become top tier. Zaria is going to go on a solo journey for a short while. This is the point where I think that Katie can develop the most. Both Hannah and Zaria are well versed in the ways of the world, so now that Katie has learned to defend herself and knows more about the greater conflict, it would be interesting to see where she goes from here. Plus if it doesn't work out, then we just force our characters back together again.
