Last Moment: RP Topic

Troy: Lets do this then.

Troy walks out picking his jacket off the grass and sliding it on.

Troy: Get those suits Malik.

Troy starts running head on at the approaching SWAT members. They raise their guns as Troy approaches but he creates a small fire blast and shoots it forward. As the SWAT side stepped/ducked, Troy veered off course towards the subway.

SWAT leader: After him, his powers are weak in the wet!

Meanwhile Katy turned to Maria.

Katy: Alright, looks like the plan is set. I can keep us safe, but you need to lead the way towards the base. Are you able to move, or do you need to be carried?

Maria: Just...support...

Maria grabs on to Katy's side for support, with her left arm going across Katy's back. as they slowly run at Maria's speed.

Hawkeye: Let's get them.
Agent: Alright.

The 2 agents start to run at the girls.

Malik: Not so fast!

Malik runs and intercepts the agents, tackling Hawkeye into the other one. As Maria and Katy start to head somewhat towards the army, Maria speaks.

Maria (speaking Latin): Freeze

The rain starts to freeze near them, creating a wall of ice. However due to Maria's state of health, it only goes on one side and they run past the army and down a side street without having protection.

HW: Interesting. Look at Troy be a distraction. Then Malik tackles the runners, and Maria created a wall of ice. Now all the 2 of them have to do is not get taken out from behind.

Back with Troy we see him duck and run as bullets is seen hitting a metal railing leading down the entrance to the subway. As about 4 Swat members catch up they aim down the steps, but don't see Troy. Giving hand signals they work their way down carefully. As they get to the bottom Troy grabs the soldier closest to him, he fires a fire blast behind that soldier which burns him. Troy then quickly pulls off the first soldier protective head wear and bashes his skull into the concrete wall. Using him as a shield, Troy takes his gun and shoots the other two remain soldiers that was slightly further up the stairs. Troy releases the soldier he was holding and his drops to the ground knocked out.

Troy: Bastards.

Troy starts walking up the stairs and out of the subway.

Meanwhile Katy and Maria hears the soldiers after them commanding them to stop. They get to a building and Katy hides Maria around the corner.

Katy: This is perfect. Stay here.

Katy turns her focus to the soldiers running down the wet street. Katy focuses on a certain area in the street, and the water on the road converted into ice. Unaware, the soldiers keep running and slips on the ice, falling back and hitting their heads. Katy go's back to Maria and helps her.

Katy: That won't last long, but as long as we manage to get out of sight we should be good.

Supporting Maria the two continue to run as fast as Maria can go.

Malik manages to wrestle a nightstick from one of the agents. He hits them in the back of the head, knocking them out.

Malik: Heh, that was kind of fun.

Malik heads to the subway Troy is at. As the last 2 swat agents prepare to attack Troy, Malik hits them in the back of the head with the nightstick, knocking them out.

Maria and Katy pass the parking garage. Right after it, Maria turns left to go to the MDC base. Unaware, the soldiers continue strait ahead and completely bypass them. Maria pushes a brick in the wall like before and the stairs appear.

Maria: Carry...down...there...knock...3...times...then...doorbell

Troy: Looks like this is done, lets get out of here.

Katy is now supporting basically all of Maria's weigh as she seems to have gotten really tired out. Helping Maria down the stairs, Katy does as instructed and knocks 3 times before ringing the doorbell.

Sarah opens the door at the MDC Base. She is surprised to see Katy carry Maria in, both soaking wet. Maria fights to stay awake as the run tired her out.

Sarah: What happened? Is Maria alright? Where are Troy and Malik?
Maria: I'm...fine...just...tired...

Malik: Let's hurry.

Malik runs back towards the base.

HW: They handled themselves well. They are learning but they were lucky to have the help.
Yanou: You knew it would work out, right?
HW: I knew they would come up with a plan, just not what I expected.
Yanou: Train me...to fight.

HW looks shocked.

Yanou: I want to protect myself and others.

Erona turns to see them.

Erona: I see. So you did get involved. Who is still out there?

Sandra came up to see what was going on.

Katy: She's going to be alright, she inhaled a lot of smoke.
Sandra: Smoke?
Katy: She was trapped inside a burning building. Luckily I got to her before serious harm could be done. As for being wet, we ran here in the rain. Some Swat members was after us, but we shook them. Troy and Malik stayed back to fight off the rest, hopefully they will join us soon.
Sandra: A fire, how?
Katy: From what Troy said, it was rigged somehow. There was some type of fuel that made it spread quick, and the doors was probably rigged somehow to to ignite it. We can't know exactly how it was all rigged up, it's all burnt away now.

Sandra felt bad for letting Maria go back there.

Sandra: Damnit, I haven't been here a day and already put Maria in danger... it should of been me that went back there. I'm sorry for getting you into that mess...

Sandra spoke with a genuine tone of concern for Maria.

Troy follows Malik as they make their way back.

Maria gets put down on the couch.

Sarah: You couldn't have known.
Maria: Not...your...fault...

Malik and Troy get to the base then Malik knocks on the door. Sarah lets them in.

Sarah: Welcome back.
Malik: Sandra, the fire was in no way your fault. I'm going to re-check the footage.

Malik goes to his office and plays back the tapes in slow motion. Then he notices something strange.

Malik: Hey Katy, come in here. Sandra, you can come too. This is proof that it's a coincidence.

Katy and Sandra both enters the office to see what they've found.

Katy: What did you find out?

Both looked to the screen to see what was going on.

Erona's phone begins to ring. He answers it.

Erona: Hello?
Seto: Erona, I hear you're back.
Erona: What the heck? Where are you and how do you know?
Seto: I'm in my room.
Erona: Why the hell did you call me then?
Seto: Because I don't feel like getting up.
Erona: Fine. What do you want?
Seto: Get Ken and come to my room. We have things to discuss. I can hear what's going on out there.
Erona: Alright. *Hangs up*

Malik plays the footage slowly. A strange man is seeing climbing through an apartment window with gasoline. The window flashes with light for a split second. Then the man comes out with the apartment on fire and runs off camera to an alley.

Malik: I didn't notice before because of how fast it happened. Could that be your brother, Katy? You said you wanted help with him so he might have tried setting a trap.

Katy: I doubt it. There are dozens of apartments and I've not long arrived in this city. How could he possibly guess I would come here. Plus he's beaten me before, water isn't the best choice to fight against electricity. I was just luck to escape. If you could get a clear view of his face I could say for sure, but this doesn't seem to be his style. He'd rather finish me off face to face.

Malik replays the video and stops it as the person is coming out of the window. He then zooms it on the face.

Malik: At the very least this had nothing to do with the government at first. They didn't come until well after the building was burnt down.

Erona walks up to Ken's door and knocks on it.

Erona: Seto wants to see you in his office.

Erona walks away and knocks on Seto's door. It opens quickly. Erona goes in to see Seto sitting far away from the door on his bed in the back of the room. He looks back at the door when he shuts it to see a quick release mechanism attached to the door.

Seto: Hey, welcome.
Erona: So this is why you had me carry around all those metal materials. You seem to have set up a bunch of quick release mechanisms around the room.
Seto: Alchemy is a beautiful thing. That's not the only thing I set up.

Seto shows him a long metal tube that extends through the wall.

Erona: The physics on this tube are really well done. This way sound will always make its way in and never out. On top of that, the walls are soundproof.
Seto: Sharp as always.
Erona: How do you intend to soundproof the door? There is air above and below it.
Seto: It'll just have to do. I need air, after all. Now to just wait for Ken.

Katy see's the man and knows for sure.

Katy: I don't know what this mans reasons are, but he isn't my brother.
Sandra: Why is your brother after you?
Katy: It go's way back.
Sandra: Does he have a name?
Katy: Jin.

Sandra looks back to the screen.

Sandra: I guess it was just a case of bad luck then. Still begs the question of who this guy is, just some crook.
Katy: Maybe he was with those agents that came. He could of been setting the trap when something went wrong, though I recon he would of called for help much sooner if that was the case.

Ken goes over to Seto's room and knocks on the door.

Ken: It's Ken. You wanted to see me?

From the other side, Seto pulls a string and the door opens.

Seto: Come on in, Ken. Please shut the door behind you.
Erona: I want to know why you're bugging Ken too. Usually it's just me.
Seto: Just wait. I'll explain everything.

Ken shuts the door as he enters. He sits down on the floor and then levitates himself just a bit off the ground.

Ken: So, what did you want?

Erona: Hey, I can do that too.

Erona mirrors Ken but with wind as his factor.

Seto: I could have just transmuted seats for you two. Oh well. So, I've been listening to what's been going on out there. And I think there is a third party involved.
Erona: I saw the burning building. It came pretty quickly.
Seto: Do you think there could be another fire user?
Erona: Noting how genetic mutation has affected us, it's possible. But I don't think that's it.
Seto: Be on your guard, either way.

Ken: So you think there's someone very powerful behind it all? That's certainly an interesting spin on things. If it's not the government, then who?

Seto: Get your rest, you two. In approximately 12 hours from now, we're going to the site to investigate.
Erona: Just as long as you don't bring that scooter of yours.
Seto: I can't bring my car...it's too big for an operation like this.

Malik: So it was a case of bad luck. The government probably reacted due to somebody calling the police.

After resting for a while, Maria has gotten up and walks over to Sandra. She still sounds and looks tired.

Maria: Here...

Maria hands the backpack to Sandra.

Zeik is still in the sewers. Suddenly he takes a right at an intersection and sees a ladder at the end.

Zeik: There it is. I knew this would be the smart way.

Ken leaves the room and goes to his room to rest.

Erona: Well, I'd better go too. I trained pretty hard today. I'm a little tired.
Seto: Keep up the good work. Tell me, are your plans being fulfilled here in MDC?
Erona: Maybe. That's not something for you to know.
Seto: Right.

Erona leaves the room. He begins mumbling to himself, trying to imitate Seto's voice.

Erona: (Mumbling) "Are your plans being fulfilled?" Does he even realize how dumb he sounds when he tries to sound intelligent?
