World at war.

Got chatting with Sain and we decided to start up a new rp as it would probably be troublesome trying to gather everyone back to reboot the old ones. Besides, honestly, does anyone even remember what the cap F was going on in those by now? lol. So here we are again, a fresh start, a new beginning. Hopefully some join and enjoy themselves.

Rules right now.

1) Don't go crazy on the powers (no god-modding). We like to keep things calm and manageable in there here parts.
2) No current character limit.
3) More a fyi then a actual rule, but there are only 3 country's in the world now. The half country ruled by evil is simply know as the Red lands, the lands ruled by good are the Blue lands. The lands ruled by humans is the White lands.

The year is 2015, 3 years after the events of 2012 the reshaped the entire planet. The Earth, now consisting of 2 major land masses, has become divided. The biggest land mass inhabited by mutants, a group of people with superhuman abilities, is divided in half by the ocean at high tide, making transportation between them possibly mainly when the tide of the ocean is out.

While the land is ruled by the same race, a war wages on. On one side of the sea break you have mutants who fight for dominance, fueled by rage or greed, they seek revenge on their enemies and to over rule both land masses. On the other side of the sea break, you have mutants who have gathered together to defend their homes, their allies, and their lives. They fight to rescue and fend off the evil's that run the land across the sea.

On a entirely different land mass, reside the humans. They have exiled all mutants from their land. The humans, being in greater numbers are multiplying faster then the mutants however. They plan to overrun the mutants with superior technology and greater numbers, their ultimate goal is to imprison the mutants and control both land masses. The only reason that humans don't work with the mutants of similar goals, is because they simply don't trust any of the mutants. The humans want all of them gone.

In the land simply known as the red lands, stands a man at a beach overlooking the waters of the ocean. He seems mad, his thoughts bothering him.

...: One of these days I'm going to kill you. Those good to-shoes can't hide you forever.

He took a step back as the water started to wash up on the beach, not wanting to get wet.

At the far end of the blue lands, a gray wolf is seen running into a small town. Most of the buildings are simple wooden or brick houses. The wolf transforms into a human form when it reaches an older woman, who is Serena, and turns out to be Zeik.

Zeik: We need to talk in private.
Serena: Why? Where are the others?
Zeik: ...that's why it needs to be private.

Meanwhile, in a jail cell in Tyranny, an man is sitting in the shadows. He is eating what appears to be a thick gray soup.

???: Not much nutrition in this but, it's better than nothing.

*Also on the blue island a younger women is seen, Sandra Silvers. She was talking with other mutants in the town and noticed a odd scene as a wolf ran by. She known it had to be Zeik, it's not every day a wolf randomly runs through a town. Sandra might not of been a veteran, but she's been around long enough to know a few names.

She left to follow the wolf, but was clearly unable to keep up. The town wasn't that big, so figured she'd take a quick look around to see if she could find anything.*

Zeik and Serena walk into a house. They make sure they are alone, then start the conversation again.

Zeik: You know we went on a recon mission.
Serena: Yes, you said it would take 4-5 days but it has only been 2.
Zeik: Turns out the mutants were waiting in our territory...by the crossing. We were at one of the abandoned cities, seeing if anybody was there. That's where things went wrong.
Serena: What happened?
Zeik: We were ambushed. If it wasn't for a dust storm during the fight, I wouldn't have made it back. The others are either dead or captured, I don't know which.
Serena: This is troublesome.

On the blue island, two mutants (Strider and Zero) enter the town.

Strider: This is it, right? Our new home.
Zero: That's right. That is if we didn't get conned.
Strider: In that case, they better hope they have more men than us.

The two brothers head into town and meet a man who takes them to their new bought home. They hand the man the money after inspecting it and the deed is turned over to them.

Zero: Looks like a friendly village.
Strider: Hopefully it's better than the last one we lived at. Just don't let your guard down.
Zero: I know.

Sandra looked around but was unable to find where the wolf went. Even the tracks ended after so far, and she couldn't very well break into houses looking around. She decided to walk around town some more and noticed in another part of town some activity in a house that hasn't had anyone living there a while. She decides to check it out and approaches the house, knocking on the door.

(I assume Strider's guys are in the same town lol)

(Yep, same town)

The brothers hear the door knocking.

Strider: Our first guest, and so soon.
Zero: I'll get it.

Zero answers the door.

Zero: How can I help you?

Serena: What are we going to do?
Zeik: We have to assume they got captured. However, we cannot let the others know.
Serena: We obviously don't have the strength, or numbers, to go rescue them.
Zeik: Right. However, we might be able to afford to send out a small stealth squad to try to recruit people.
Serena: That's not the wise choice.
Zeik: Not right away of course, in a couple of days.
Serena: Then I'll go. You know I can spot those bastards.
Zeik: I know you can. I will stay here because we are the elders for now.

Meanwhile a young lady is seen walking around the town. It turns out to be Reina.

Reina: We are running low on meat here. I should tell Serena so we can hunt for some more. On the bright side, crops are doing better than ever and the second harvest is ready.

Sandra smiles warmly and offers her hand for a handshake.

Sandra: Hello. I noticed some activity in this place and figured someone must have moved in. So I wanted to stop in and hi, and welcome to town. My names Sandra, may I ask yours?

Zero shakes her hand cautiously.

Zero: Zero. My brother and I just moved in a few minutes ago.

Strider approaches and stands next to Zero.

Strider: So what's the scoop with this town? Is it violent? The real estate guy said it was peaceful, but you can't ever trust that word.

Serena leaves the house, which turns out to be Zeiks. By mere coincidence, Reina was walking by there.

Reina: Oh hey Serena.
Serena: What is it, Reina?
Reina: Well the crops are ready for harvest but we are running low on meat.
Serena: Alright, the 2 of us will go hunting tomorrow. We have enough meat for dinner tonight, right?
Reina: Actually no, we don't have enough for everybody because 2 people just moved in.
Serena: Alright we will go hunting today. I'll let the guard know and he will watch the place.
Reina: Alright. 30 minutes, right?
Serena: Right, get ready.

Serena and Reina split off. Reina heads for her house to stock up on arrows and grab her bow while Serena heads for the south entrance, which leads to the hunting grounds. The south entrance is blocked off and the woods there are restricted to preserve the wildlife, so everybody enters and leaves town from either the north or east.

Sandra: The people here are nice. The place you want to stay out of is mutant territory, or the red country I think they refers it to. Just stay on this side basically, I've heard some bad stories from over that way.

She go's to extend her handshake to Strider.

Sandra: So you two are brothers. Welcome. I hope you two enjoy yourselves and make some friends. May I ask your name as well? (to Strider)

Strider: It's Strider.

Strider shakes hands briefly.

Zero: Thanks for your advice. We'll keep that in mind. We like to stay out of trouble.
Strider: Too bad trouble doesn't feel like staying away from us. Hah.

Strider walks back inside the house more.

Zero: Was there something else you needed?

Sandra looked somewhat disappointed, seems these two wasn't to eager to get to know others.

Sandra: Well no, I don't need anything. But since I'm here, would you guys like a tour around town or anything? Maybe get to meet some others around here. I realize you just moved in, but you got all day to settle in right?

She wanted to be nice and offer them a guide around, and maybe let them get more comfortable around her.

Meanwhile, Serena has made her way to the southern gate.

Serena: I require permission to go to the hunting ground in 20 minutes.
Guard: Is anybody going to accompany you?
Serena: Yes, Reina is coming. DO NOT let anybody else go through the gate.
Guard: Alright. Anything else?
Serena: No, thank you.

Zero: I'll go, thanks. Just give me one minute.

Zero goes inside to Strider.

Strider: You're going then?
Zero: Yeah.
Strider: *Flips an earpiece to him* Stay in contact if something odd happens.
Zero: Right. I'll show you around town once I've learned where everything is.
Strider: Good. I'll have food ready when you get back.
Zero: Thanks. I won't be long.

Zero puts on his earpiece and keeps it turned off for the moment. He goes outside.

Zero: Ready.

Sandra: Sure.

Zero and Sandra walk away from the house. They start out with some small stuff, Sandra has Zero meet a few neighbors and showed him a few small shops around for various supplies. After a little while they start to approach the southern gate, Sandra stops them before they get there.

Zero: What's out there? (borrowed him for a quick line, hope you don't mind Strider)
Sandra: It's our wildlife preserve. Nobody is allowed in there, only thus who is going to hunt for food. I've yet to be back there myself yet.

They turn down a different road as Sandra continued to show Zero around.

Serena walks up to Zero and Sandra, stopping them, as she was going down the same road to head to Reina's house.

Serena: You're one of the new guys, right? I'm Serena, one of the village elders.

Serena extends her hand cautiously for a hand shake, not sure of what Zero can do. However her eyes watch him carefully and she notices the earpiece, being more cautious.

Zero shakes hands with Serena.

Zero: I'm Zero. So far, I like what this village has to offer. It's way better than the last village.

Zero takes a quick gaze around and then turns his attention back on the people in front of him.

Serena: Sorry about the lack of electricity. Technology has screwed us over in other cities so we are keeping it to a minimum now, please do the same.

Serena notices Reina leaving her house prepared to hunt.

Serena: Anyway I have to go.

Sandra: (to Serena) Time to hunt more food I take it? (to Zero) I'll say tat I found it odd not having much technology around at first, but you get use to it.

Meanwhile Troy had returned to the city. He enters a bar taking a seat. Unlike the blue country, which seemed to cut back a lot on technology. The red hasn't. However they also don't look to be advancing as much of what they got is still destroyed, going unattended and unrepaired. Troy scrawls looking around.

Troy: Can't wait till we overrun the blue nation. Will finally be able to get out of this shit hole.

He proceeded to order a drink.

Zero: Our last village didn't have much technology either. It was a ruthless village where only the strongest survived. But enough of that, is that the tour or is there more?

Serena: Due to a lack of technology, we do use owls to keep contact with each other. The owlry is in the church and you can ask the priest for more information.

Serena heads on her way, going to Reina.

Back in the jail, the man has finished his "meal". He gets up from his bed and stretches, getting ready to do some exercising. It is also revealed that he is Victor.

Sandra: I can show you around the rest of town if you want. Let you get to know your way around.

As Troy had a few shots he recognizes a women who walks down a stairway. Given the radio don't work it was easy to hear footsteps coming down the stairs. She wore all white, which was a trait she was known for. She was revealed to be Tesla. Troy spoke up to her.

Troy: So Ms. Nova, what are you doing here.
Tesla: What business of it is yours?
Troy: Will I find a body if I go up there?
Tesla: Go see for yourself.

Tesla walks past with no further word to Troy. She didn't speak to many, but her name had gotten around.

Zero: If you have a town map that I can borrow, that would be more efficient. I should be getting home soon.

Meanwhile, Strider has almost finished preparing food for the two of them.
