Oh really, Ramsey? What tipped you off about that one?

I was wondering if the agents would show up at some point. I wonder how Mara and Ramsay will do against Von Rage and if they'll even be able to win. I guess we'll have to find out next week.

So Von Rage has the Tessaiga but in a different form.

So the agents are getting involved in this fight. Interesting. I guess we'll have to see what he's stalling for.

The action sequences before the blast duel were decent to good. So, I'm assuming the stalling for time was for the angel seeds. Senzu bean equivalents in anime/manga are handy as shit.

The blast duel itself was fine. I do enjoy one here and there.

There were a lot of cliche lines in this chapter, though that seems to be a thing with Mara and Ramsey in general. Maybe it was more noticeable in this chapter.

The description of the end scene was vivid. Definitely well done there.

The chapter was good. As for the arc itself, I'll have to skim through the earlier chapters since my reading retention is bad.

This arc in total worked. In my personal opinion, these were the strongest points as per my memory with a quick skim through of what happened:

-Von Rage's trap
-Return of the agents
-Fang and Paw's teamwork tactics

There were some other good points of course, but I felt this was the strongest. The story was cohesive and complete, though we won't get to really see the payoff for Mara and Ramsey's developed relationship till the cool down time, which I'm guessing will be considered the next arc's beginning. So for that, I can't judge the payoff, but the build up was there and it seems to have progressed their characters.

As for the pacing, it was more or less okay. As a preference, I would have personally cut about one or two chapters out of the final part of the arc, but that's just me. Some want it to last as long as possible, whereas others like to get it over with quickly so they can get the girl out of there and move on to the next...wait, what?

Overall, I would say it about on par with the previous arc; maybe slightly better. I think I'd have to skim through that arc too to make a fair judgement.

Not bad at all. Mara is definitely going through a lot of emotional trauma from everything piling up on top of each other with the bad events. So, there's apparently more to Mara's story than what we already know. I look forward to reading what that is, and of course how this will all affect her later.

The moral of the story: Never put Aerona and Mara in a relationship. The misfortune they would cause together would be enough to destroy even the Toriko world. The reveal was good and I do like where this is going with Mara's past.

The second chapter was a nice change of pace with Ramsay ignoring Mara, giving some comedic moments. Nice double release.

as you should be able to tell the ignoring was due to the fact that Ramsey had something else on his mind, the patient that he went to see. Also these comedic moments were meant to put some more doubts in her head which is important to her growth later down the road. As for her backstory, it is also a device that will cause more problems for her as well as some growth later on.

I've seen enough hentai to know where this is going. Using her heat to track her, nice. Interested to see where this goes.

Hmm, so starbuster. I thought that was a nice touch to make it night time and make it seem like mid-day all of the sudden. I know that would freak out anyone near it.

I'm not sure how to feel about the engagement yet. I also wonder where that shark soul will go. And of course, the next type of soul to show up and if the pattern will continue of weakest to strongest showing up.

Overall not bad.

You've seen it action, now all that's left is to find out how it works. As for the engagement, first off Mara has had such a low self esteem that anything less might not have restored her confidence. Second, since when do heroes do something normal and it doesn't go south. The engagement of the two is a necessary part of the overall story.

I do admit, I may have internally facepalmed at "cat got your tongue", but otherwise the end was a good twist. It went without saying that the wedding would be interrupted at some point, but by Kai's hands (or voice) made it good. It's very symbolic of "I can't let you move on to a new life just yet". So she has to deal with this old demon before she can truly move on. So yeah, I like that.
