Evolution.

Katie had broken the cuffs by this point, she still has her hands behind her back, but she had formed a bat shaped from ice. When the officer exits the bus Katie takes a swing hitting him in the head and knocking him out. Katie check on him, still a pulse. He has a small cut but he'll live. She drag him away from any danger of getting run over and she gets back in the bus, continuing her way to her destination.

"Damn that put me behind. Even worse they'll probably be waiting for me on my return trip."

A ranger jeep pulls out of the woods near the highway. What appears to be a teenage girl in army clothes gets out of it and brings a medical kit to the officer. She presses an earpiece, to contact Phillips.

???: Sir, I need a medical evac at Highway 95, halfway between Dusty Crossroads and Springfield. One police officer down, bleeding gash in the back of the head, potential for a concussion. Target bus heading for Springfield. Blue spotted, no sign of others.

The woman then starts preliminary treatment of the wounds, knowing he needs a hospital.

The girl soon gets a response back.

Philips: Evac is in route.    There was another officer not far from your location dealing with some minor jewel thief.    I've had his superiors patch through to him and he should reach you soon.    He will take over the scene there.    Listen I need you to keep up with that bus.    Blue defected from our ranks, turned her back on our nation and joined the rebel evo's.    We know Blue has worked her way into the good graces of The Maid Of Destruction.    It's your top priority that you do not lose her.   Understood Lieutenant?

???: Understood, sir

Colette turns the cop's care to the officer when he arrives, filling him in

Colette: Don't move him, I have orders to go to Springfield. Medical evac is on the way.

She then gets in her jeep and speeds to follow Katie

Katie makes the rest of the trip to Springfield without trouble. Colette stayed out of Katie's sight to not alert her. Katie makes her way to her destination and parks the bus out of sight from any cops that may show up. Katie then proceeds to set up the boombox and started playing the CD. "I guess now I wait and see who shows up."

Colette is keeping an eye on Katie, parked in a parking garage. She presses the earpiece again.

Colette: Blue is out of the bus near the Downtown Springfield Parking Garage. Nobody else appears to be in the bus.

Young adults would gather near Katie. They'd notice and recognize the bus, also making the crowd thicker than cops could see her.

Colette: A crowd is gathering, it's getting thick. I won't be able to get through without walking undercover.

Colette gets response with further instructions.

Philips: See what's going on there. Stay under cover and do not make a move on Blue until the Maid is identified. Report back when your safe to.

Meanwhile Katie was a bit surprised, she expected supporters but not like this. The crowd was really thickening up.

Colette: Understood, sir

She takes off her army jacket, putting on a light sweatshirt. She has her backpack, and the weapons are in it. Her jeep alarm is turned on, and she exits the parking garage from the back, heading to the gathering.

Katie already had supporters ready to join her. The crowd had quickly gotten big as others kept offering their help.

Colette makes her way to the bus, putting a tracking device on it. Then she heads back towards the group and hears a sound that's too familiar. A grenade pin getting pulled. She instinctively takes out her rifle and aims, shooting the grenade when it's at its highest point, luckily not hurting anybody. The person who threw it has a manic look on his face, and she shoots him before he gets near the group, as he had a knife out. The bullet hits his chest, causing a suicide vest to explode.

Colette: Code black, civilians are in danger. Requesting backup. I repeat, code black, civilians are in danger. Requesting backup. Location S12B. I repeat, location S12B

Katie would understand as much as there was a terrorist attack. Colette had to abandon capture, and focus on saving lives.

Zaria's group spent nearly a day driving to their destination.

Zaria: Stop!

They stop near the edge of town.

Hinata: Why did we stop? The town is just a little further.
Zaria: The town goes into lock down at night to help protect against the creatures that lurk around here.
Ken: But if we can't go into town then where will we sleep for the night?
Zaria: We will just sleep in the car. Pull over near those bushes. We can use that plus some branches from nearby trees to camouflage the car.

The others reluctantly agree. They prepare the car for the night, and they go to sleep.

Panic was quick to set in with the terrorist attack. Katie gathered what little recruits she had and started to disperse the group. She couldn't see the shooter that saved them though the crowd, but a shot like that it was obvious professions was already around. Katie knew more would come quickly. Katie took her recruits and they all boarded the bus, the crowd was scattering now and Katie got back on the move before military shows up. If they gets blocked in, they would never get out of here via roadways. So they had to move.

When Katie eventually leaves the city, she'd be met up by the rest of the group on atvs. They scattered to get their rides and live.

Colette is in a pinned spot, the terrorists throwing grenades at her as they slowly move closer. Phillips would have heard her call for help, as it was sent to anybody in the area. She keeps shooting the grenades but doesn't get a chance at any of the terrorists.

Katie met up with the rest of the group outside the city. They gather around near the bus. "Well things got out of hand quickly back there."

A helicopter soon moves in, snipers was quick to start taking out the terrorists. When they was taken out the heli landed. A soldier gets out and greets Colette, asking what she has to report.

"Rank and commanding officer?" Colette asks. She didn't recognize the soldiers


Meanwhile, Hannah has had no more trouble, staying at the band's place for the night.

The man gives his rank. He was just one of the run of mill soldiers Philips command, nobody Colette had any real reason to pay much attention to in the past.

Katie and her group was discussing if they should hold up camp or drive though the night. Ultimately the bus was huge target and driving under the cover of night gave them the best chance of getting back. To give Katie some rest it was agreed on one of the recruits would continue the drive back so Katie to go to the back of the bus and catch some sleep.

"I don't report to you, even though I look young, soldier. Lieutenant Barker here." She tells the low-ranked soldier before reporting to Phillips directly, via earpiece, not forgetting to add in the tracker.

The soldier apologized not realizing he was speaking to a Lieutenant. He was merely trying to do his job and access the situation. Philips radioed back to Colette, he'd have people look into this terrorist attack. But if she was able Colette's mission was to catch back up to that bus and continue tracking the gifted. Philips was aware Colette hadn't rested much in a while, but they was this close to uncovering the Maids location, he didn't want to lose their lead now. A opportunity to wipe out a top 10 that opposed him was rare. He'd gotten lucky with Zaria but most seemed smarter and kept themselves well hidden.

Colette heads to her jeep. This was already a long day but she started the drive, using the tracker gps. She yawned as she drove, making mental note to stop at the next place where she can get chocolate and orange juice, knowing it was healthier than coffee.

The drive back went smoothly, when they neared a member of Katie's group went to back of the bus and woke her up so she could drive the final stretch, seeing Katy knew exactly where to go. It was early morning when the bus pulled into the safe house.

A couple of hours later, Colette parks near Katy, about 30 min away, camouflaged in the woods. She is on foot now, but notices a lack of Hannah.

Katie went to find Jamie, she wondered if there was any word of trouble from Hannah's end of things.

Hannah didn't have real trouble, she was just taking her time

Katie found Jamie fairly quick. "Jamie I'm back with recruits."

"It's barely been a couple of days. But were you followed?" Jamie replies
